Yorb Taranaki Men’s Premiership – Round 12
Hawera Kitchens Ltd Hawera FC took on TMT Building Ltd Moturoa AFC. Moturoa opened the scoring early in the first half with a goal from Connor Hay in the 4th minute of the match. Oliver Hill also scored for Moturoa in the 26th minute. Hawera got one back before the end of the half thanks to Mason Wishnowsky scoring in the 36th minute. Connor Hay and Oliver Hill both went on to score again, complete their braces and ultimately win the match for their side. 4:1. Peggy Gordon's NP Rangers took a comfortable 5:0 win over Premier Heating NPBHS. NZ Forestry Peringa United Premiers won 3:0 against Rampage Fitness FC Western. Thanks to goals from Domenico Squatriti (2) and Chad Jones.
MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUNDS 11,12 & 14:
ALH Limited Gisborne Thistle welcomed Watson Integrity PN Marist to Childers Road. Marist went into the half time break with a narrow 1-0 lead thanks to a 37th minute strike by Sam Hickmott. Their lead was then doubled when Melvin Rumere netted in the 61st minute. Thistle pulled a goal back minutes later thanks to Jimmy Somerton. Marist then restored their two-goal cushion in the 69th minute thanks to Zak Hughes as he slotted home after a great solo run. David Ure gave the home side a glimmer of hope as he scored a very nice goal from distance in the 82nd minute however it was only to be a consolation as Marist were able to hold on and grab a valuable 3-2 win on the road.
At Bluewater Stadium Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers took on Bayleys Palmerston North United. United got off to a great start and took the lead in the 22nd minute through Benjamin Mori. Just before the break it was the home side who found the net thanks to James Mack III as the sides went to the sheds all locked up at 1-1. The second half was a different story, and the home side were very clinical netting four unanswered goals through James Mack III (2), Ethan Spencer, and Liam Schofield as they secured a well deserved 5-1 win in front of their home fans.
ALH Limited Gisborne Thistle hosted Shani’s Taradale AFC. The home side got off to a flying start and with an early brace from Jimmy Somerton found themselves ahead 2-0 at the break. Somerton extended the lead when he completed his hattrick in the 52nd minute before Oska Smith netted to make it 4 in the 67th minute. Thomas Hall pulled one back for Taradale in the 74th minute however that was only to be a consolation as Gisborne held on to claim a 4-1 victory on their home turf.
WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 11:
Havelock North Wanderers welcomed Kitchens by Healey Palmerston North United to Guthrie Park. The visitors came out firing and took a 3-0 lead into Halftime thanks to goals from Sarah Swinbanks, Paris Liu, and Kirstie Baker. They continued that form in the second half as Liu netted twice more to complete her hattrick as well as a goal from Hannah Carey as they found themselves six goals to the good. Maddison Hughes netted for Havelock in the 79th minute to get the hosts off the mark however that was as good as it got as a late Own Goal extended United’s lead once more and the match ended in a comfortable 7-1 win to the visiting side.
Taranaki Men’s Championship – Round 14
Cunningham Construction Kaitake FC took a comfortable 8:0 win over Peringa United Championship. Goal Scorers were James Bevington (5), Julian David Ortega Galeano, and Ethan Davis (2). Inglewood AFC Championship played a competitive game against Novotel Woodleigh FC. Inglewood opened the scoring with goals from Daniel Gilberd and David Chesterton in the first half, going 2:0 at the break. A hat trick of goals in the second half from Josh Kenny for Woodleigh put Inglewood under some pressure. However, a late brace of goals from Joel Stewart won the match 5: 3 for Inglewood.
Taranaki Men’s Division 1 – Round 14
Shining Peak NP Rangers AFC Oddbodz took a comfortable 6:0 win over Elca Stainless Inglewood AFC. Goal scorers were; John Hight (4), James Graham, and Ben Dowman. Smith & Sons Eltham AFC won 4: 3 against Wonder Minerals Kaponga SC. Taranaki Thru Tubing NP Rangers won 5:1 against Moturoa AFC. Smart Rehad & Physio Peringa United Ballers won 3:2 against KP Joinery Waitara SC.
Taranaki Men’s Division 2 – Round 11
Withers Coachlines FDMC Senior Team took on Marty Suchy Harcourts FC Western. Neither side were able to find the net and the game ultimately ended in a 0:0 draw.
Taranaki Men’s Division 3 – Round 14
Paul Hamlin Builders Eltham AFC played a competitive game against Stratford AFC Reserves. Both sides went goal for goal in the half. Meant the teams had a lot of work to do to get the three points. It was a goal from Brendan Hughes in the 60th minute that ultimately won the game for Eltham 3:2. Orchard Contracting LTD Hawera FC won 3:0 against Inglewood Div3. Moturoa AFC took the win 2:1 against Waitara SC. Rob Mason Electrical Group Woodleigh FC won 1:0 against Peringa United Socials.
Taranaki Womens Top 6 – Round 2
NPGHS took on Kaitake FC Women this weekend. Lucy Mitchell opened the scoring in the 28th minute for Kaitake, followed by goals from Leen Fiddelaers and Liz Walkin to take the score 3:0 at the break. NPGHS were the only ones to score in the second half however the late goal from Aria Pack wasn’t enough. As Kaitake took the win 3:1. HEL Rimu NP Rangers Development played Withers Coachlines Moturoa AFC Women. The Rangers opened the scoring with a goal in the 50th from Shareece Kahukaka-Taylor. Moturoa answered this with two goals from Evealyn Newman and Kate Phipps. Moturoa took the win 2:1. Gravity Sign & Studio Inglewood AFC Women took the win against Hipp Accounting Ltd Hawera FC 5:2.
Taranaki Womens Bottom 6 – Round 1
Tungsten Legal Stratford AFC took a comfortable 12:0 win against Worley Woodleigh FC Women this weekend. Goal Scorers were. Arna Bright (2), Natasha Moffatt, Ella Bright, Caitlin Howard, Charlie Carr (2), Cacia Triggs (3), Amanda Reddick (2). Equipfix Peringa United Ladies took on Offshore Plumbing Services Waitara SC. Score Unknown.
