Moturoa claim women's Fed League title

MEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 16:
Shani’s Taradale AFC welcomed Watson Integrity PN Marist to Taradale Park. Neither side were able to break the deadlock in the first half and the sides went to the break all locked up at 0-0. The Visitors came out firing in the second half and netted Three quick goals through Troye Aitken, Luke Minshull, and Josh Cremen. That was enough for Marist as they held the hosts scoreless to claim a valuable 3-0 win on the road.
Bayleys Palmerston North United were up against Thirsty Whale Napier City Rovers at Memorial Park. The visitors had been a thorn in United’s side so far this season as they had won the Three previous meetings between the sides however the hosts were determined to get one back and were able to do so in this fixture as they were clinical in front of goal and put out a quality performance as they claimed a comprehensive 7-1 victory over their rivals. Goal Scorers for United were Jacob Riley (2), Benjamin Mori, Aaron Richardson, Nathan Cooksley, Joseph Craven, and Patrick Smither. Rover’s goal scorer was Tom Speers.
WOMEN’S FEDERATION LEAGUE – ROUND 13:
OneStaff Marist Reserves hosted ATLAS NP Rangers at Arena Manawatu. Kennedy Heikell gave the visitors the lead in the 16th minute. Aimee Erskine equalised for Marist just before the break as the sides went to the sheds all locked up. Neither side were able to add to their tallies in the second spell and the match ended in a hard fought 1-1 draw.
At Massey University Kitchens by Healey Palmerston North United welcomed Excel Refrigeration Moturoa. Fernanda Toscani opened the scoring in the 7th minute for the visitors before a quick-fire brace from Jenna Barry seen Moturoa take a 3-0 lead into the break. Elizabeth Dombroski pulled a goal back for United early in the second half. Toscani then added her 2nd of the match to extend the visitors lead once again. United were not going down without a fight and responded with quick goals from Kirstie Baker and Dombroski to make it 4-3 with time remaining. Amelia Riddick then netted in the 75th minute to restore the cushion for Moturoa before Hannah Carey reduced the deficit once more with a goal of her own in the 77th minute. The final 10 minutes were tense, and the match could have gone either way however the visitors were able to hang on for a thrilling 5-4 win as they keep their 100% record intact.
Yorb Taranaki Men’s Premiership – Round 14
Hawera Kitchens Ltd Hawera FC had the challenge of playing Rampage Fitness FC Western this weekend. Western took the lead in the first half with a goal from Simon Gibson in the 26th minute of the match. Western gained some momentum after an early second half goal from Cameron Burnell. The team went on to net another 4 goals taking the win 6:0. Goal Scorers were: Simon Gibson (3), Cameron Burnell (2), and Connor Oliver-Rose. TMT Building Ltd Moturoa played a competitive match against [eggy Gordons NP Rangers. Neither side was able to score in the first half. Taking it down to the wire, a late goal in the 78th minute of the match from Reuben Warburton sealed the win 1:0 for Rangers.
Taranaki Men’s Championship – Round 16
Western Autos Moturoa took on Inglewood AFC Championship. Moturoa opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Logan Hislop in the 11th minute of the match. This was quickly answered by a goal from Cameron Vanner in the 14th minute for Inglewood. Drawing the first half 1:1. In the second half it was goals from Joel Stewart and Daniel Gilberd that ultimately decided the match with Inglewood taking the win 3:1. Cross Country Rentals NPBHS 2nd XI played Peringa United Championship. Keegan Yates opened the scoring with a late first half goal in the 43rd minute for NPBHS. NPBHS scored again in the 60th minute of the match with a goal from Luca Coleman. NPBHS won 2:0.
Taranaki Men’s Division 1 – Round 16
Smith & Sons Eltham took on Smart Rehab & Physio Peringa United Ballers in what was a competitive match. Peringa was the first to score with a goal in the 21st minute from Barry Clarke. Eltham answered this with a goal in the 33rd minute thanks to Carey Rielly. To take the score to 1:1 in the first half. Peringa was the first to score again in the second half with a goal in the 53rd minute from Daniel Malone. Eltham equalized in the 85th minute with a goal from Jordan Buchanan. However, Peringa got one back thanks to a goal from Hamish Gunson taking the win 3:2. Wonder Minerals Kaponga SC played Taranaki Thru Tubing NP Rangers. The Rangers opened the scoring with an early goal from Brodie Howe. Kaponga answered back with three goals scored by Daniel Shepherd, Jeffrey Nicholas, and Brad Coad. The Rangers didn’t give up though, scoring two more goals to equalize and taking the score to 3: 3 ending the first half. Kaponga came out hungry in the second half netting an early goal in the 48th minute thanks to Lautaro Alvarez. Followed by a goal from Daniel Gut in the 52nd and then Lautaro completed his brace with a goal in the 73rd minute. Kaponga won the match 6: 3. KP Joinery Waitara SC took on CG Office Furniture FC Western Flaming Wolverines. Western opened the scoring with a brace of goals from Adam Groen in the 4th and 12th minutes of the match. Tylah Wilson-Hann got one back for Waitara to take the score to 1:2 in the first half. However, with neither side able to score in the second half Western took the win 3:2.
Taranaki Men’s Division 2 – Round 14
Egmont Texturers NP Rangers played Marty Suchy Harcourts FC Western in a competitive match. The Rangers opened the scoring with a goal from Alexander Whitham in the 4th minute and followed by a brace of goals from Dean Cumberledge. Western got two back in the in the first half thanks to a brace from Mark Leuthard. Taking the score 3:2 to Rangers in the first half. Western equalized early in the second half with a goal from Balin Brons. However, Rangers got one back with a goal from Christian Gavisan-Moratti in the 55th minute of the match. This goal looked to be the decider until Western scored two goals in the final minutes of the match thanks to Kyah Rowe and Andrew More. Western took the win 5:4. McDonalds Real Estate Stratford had a comfortable 8:0 win over Withers Coachlines FDMC Senior Team. Stratford started the game strong netting 5 goals in the first half. They carried this into the second half netting another three and winning the match 8:0. Goal Scorers were, Jamie Pretty (3), Ayshnal Reddy (2), Brody Savage, Matthew Hawkless, and Stuart Hawkless. Webber Building Kaitake FC BHs played a competitive match against Pipeline Peringa United. Peringa opened the scoring with a goal from Leighton Deardon in the 13th minute of the match. Kaitake Equalized with a goal from Matthew Thomas early in the second half. Zheng Han got one back for peringa in the 75th minute however this wasn’t enough to secure the three points as David Gilmour scored for Kaitake to draw the match 2:2. Congratulations to Pipeline Peringa United for winning Division 2 this year, good work guys!
Taranaki Men’s Division 3 – Top 4
Inglewood won 1:0 against Moturoa this weekend. Goal Scorers unknown. Peringa United Socials took on Rob Mason Electrical Group Woodleigh. Neither side was able to score in the first half. A goal was scored early in the second half for Woodleigh, from Pongphon Northcott in the 49th minute of the match. This was followed by a goal from Jaedyn Davis in the 70th minute. Taking the score to 2:0 and Woodleigh taking the Win. Congratulations, Rob Mason Electrical Group Woodleigh for winning Division 3 this year!
Taranaki Womens Top 6 – Round 4
Gravity Sign & Design Studio Inglewood women took on NPGHS this weekend. A goal in the 4th minute of the match from Nardia Higgison for Inglewood ultimately decided the match. As neither side were to score again Inglewood took the win 1:0. Hel Rimu NP Rangers development took a comfortable 8:0 win over Kaitake FC Women. The goal scorers were Tiaan Neatherway, Rebecca Sumpter (3), Aimee Wisnewski, Jennifer Stoiber, OG (2). Withers Coachlines Moturoa AFC Women played Hipp Accounting Ltd Hawera. Moturoa opened the scoring in the first half with a goal in the 20th minute from Kate Phipps. Moturoa took the lead into the break 1:0. Moturoa then netted two more goals thanks to Solange Perrault and Chantel Cameron. Hawera got one back, however this wasn’t enough as Moturoa took the win 3:1. Hawera goal scorer unknown. Taranaki Womens Bottom 6 – Round 4
Eltham AFC Ladies Premiership took on Equipfix Peringa United Ladies this weekend. Peringa netted two goals in the first half to take the lead thanks to Stella Normanton and Hannah Andrews. They got a third in the 57th minute of the match from Alissa Tui. Eltham were unlucky to not find the goal and Peringa took the win on the road 3:0. Congratulations to Equipfix Peringa United Ladies on winning the bottom 6 this year!
