New coaches for Boys High's 1st XV

Former Coastal premier rugby coach Ricky Tito will lead New Plymouth Boys High School's 1st XV in 2020, it was announced. 

Tito has spent several years coaching the Coastal premier side in the CMK Taranaki club rugby competition, who made three consecutive finals. He has also coached the Taranaki Development side, who play in the Norther Regions Development competition. 

Tito will be assisted by fellow Taranaki Development assistant coach Brad Cooper and Chris Luke.

The trio take over Paul Martin. 

The brother of famous Taranaki lock, Paul Tito, said in a statement on the NPBHS Sports News Facebook page he was 'extremely excited' about the opportunity for further his coaching in the very competitive Super 8 competition.

"Having the national 1st XV champion coming from the Super 8 competition for four out of the last seven years proves how strong this competition is and what a great challenge it will be."
