The 2025/2026 season proved to be a hugely successful one for competitors from the Taranaki Stock Car Club, with Stratford Speedway drivers producing outstanding results on the national stage across four different racing classes.
From Superstocks through to Minisprints and Saloons, Stratford competitors consistently featured amongst the country’s best, highlighting the strength and depth of talent within the club.
Leading the charge was Hamish Booker, who claimed victory in the prestigious New Zealand Superstock Grand Prix, a standout achievement in one of the sport’s toughest classes.
In the Super Saloon ranks, Joe Ingram delivered an impressive performance to secure third place at the New Zealand Super Saloon Grand Prix against some of the country’s elite drivers.
The Saloon class also produced exceptional results for Stratford competitors, with Bradley Korff enjoying a remarkable season. Korff finished third at the New Zealand Saloon Championship before going on to win the North Island Saloon Championship. Fellow Stratford driver Thomas Korff also impressed, finishing runner-up at the North Island Saloon Championship.
The Minisprint class proved to be particularly successful for Stratford competitors, with club drivers dominating major events throughout the season. Karl Uhlenberg secured the coveted New Zealand Minisprint Championship title, while Regan Ogle finished second in the national championship and added the North Island Minisprint Championship to his achievements.
Strong results continued in the New Zealand Minisprint Grand Prix, where Bronson Pierce finished second and Duane Hickman claimed third place. Jonathan Noonan also added to Stratford’s success with a runner-up finish at the North Island Minisprint Championship.
These results reflect not only the talent and dedication of Stratford Speedway competitors, but also the hard work of crews, families, sponsors, volunteers, and the wider Taranaki Stock Car Club community who continue to support the sport at every level.
The success achieved throughout the 2025/2026 season has once again reinforced Stratford Speedway’s reputation as one of New Zealand’s strongest speedway clubs and a breeding ground for top-level competitors.
