Yarrow Stadium calls for registrations of interest

New Plymouth’s earthquake prone premium sports venue, Yarrow Stadium, is calling for registrations of interest for the repair of the facility.
Companies wanting to provide construction services on the project were alerted on the Government tender site on Monday, according to the Taranaki Daily News.
Interested companies have until March 6 to register their interest with work scheduled to begin in June 2020.
The successful company will be in charge of the strengthening of both the west and east stand and also improvement works to the venue.
Along with the repair of both grandstands, additional upgrades will be completed to food, beverage and toilet facilities, car parks, main field surface, LED pitch lighting, storage and gate improvements and south terrace seating.

Yarrow Stadium has a capacity of 25,000 and its east stand was classed as earthquake prone in November 2017 and west stand in June 2018.
Temporary infrastructure was in place for the Mitre 10 Cup seasons of 2018 and 2019 with sideline seating erected last year.
The project will cost $56million.
